Happy Friday everyone! How’s your week been going, did it fly by?
Since we got to Dallas on Wednesday my poor husband has been sick in bed with either the flu or food poisoning 😰. The flight down was rough for him and it hasn’t gotten much better. I’ve been doing everything in my power to avoid getting it, washing our hands a million times and lysoling the entire hotel room!
On Thursday morning we also woke up to no hot water in the entire hotel. Major bummer! If you’ve ever traveled or been sick you know how wonderful a hot, hot shower feels (especially when your baby isn’t around and you can take your sweet time!) At this point we both just started laughing hysterically wondering what else could go wrong. Sick on vacation, no hot water, and rain in the forecast the next two days… quite the luck! But, it could always be worse! We laid around and relaxed, he slept and I read my book and tried to enjoy the quiet.
Normally today I’d be sharing my “Friday Faves” but I don’t have too much going on over here as I’ve been busy caring for M and relaxing! Here’s a few things for the week though!
I surprised myself and actually really enjoyed sitting at the bar on my own though! I chatted with the bartender and a local man and got some great tips on places to visit and things to do!
Peanut Butter M&M’s! Knowing I’d be stuck inside all night on Thursday I grabbed a bag while getting some Gatorade for M and can’t stop snacking on them! I loooove anything peanut butter!
I’m currently reading Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover and liking it! I have always loved her writing and although this isn’t my favorite book from her it’s been keeping me busy on the flight and while lounging around. If your currently in need of a good book I 100 percent suggest another one of hers, It Ends With Us. It was hands down one of my favorite books ever.
That’s all I’ve really got over here! We’re pretty bummed about how our trip is starting out but so incredibly thankful the baby isn’t here with us. Taking care of a little one while sick isn’t fun and I’d be so worried about him catching this!
We are hoping the weekend takes a turn for the best and yours is fantastic as well!
