Good morning! How was everyone’s weekend, do anything fun?
We had a great trip to Dallas despite my husband being sick the whole time. I basically ate my way through the city while my husband laid low at the hotel. This Red Velvet Cake donut from Glazed Donut Works was pretty much the best thing ever!
Saturday morning we woke up and my husband still wasn’t feeling the greatest. We also heard our little boy had a bit of a fever going on as well. Our original flight was booked at 630 pm but after visiting some friends for coffee, we decided to rush to the airport and try for an earlier flight out of Dallas. We managed to get home early evening and the hugs we got out of L were out of this world! He sure missed his mom and dad!
So many snuggles! Four days was just too long! Our trip was certainly an interesting one and not the best ever but I will say, I am more rested today then I have been since L was born! I think we were asleep by 730-8 almost every night… heavenly!
Sunday was spent mostly lounging around and playing with L but I did manage to sneak in a quick grocery trip to get us ready for a healthy week. The last few
weeks months have been fun but between grad parties, traveling, and the holidays, I am definitely ready to get us back to normal!
For dinners this week I am making a big pot of Chicken Veggie Tortellini soup, a super easy one pot meal that I’ll share later this week! I also am making two different Instant Pot recipes; salsa chicken for burrito bowls and salads and a quick and easy pork tenderloin too!
