Hello and happy Friday to you! You’re almost to the weekend!
How has your week been? Over here, we are SO ready for spring! We are quite sick of snow… sick of looking at it, sick of thinking about it, and sick of hearing about it! But, here in New England weather is wacky and oddly enough, it’s going to be in the 50’s this weekend! We are hoping for more snow to melt and to spend some time outside! It was on the colder side yesterday but L and I did spend about 30 minutes outside splashing around in the puddles and burning off some energy. There is only so much time we can spend cooped up in the house!
Today, I have all sorts of favorites to share with you from this week!
Indoor Playgrounds and Fun for L!
I have been on the hunt for new activities for L since we have been stuck inside so much due to the weather. He has been getting so antsy and just wants to run around and while we like the library and music class, it doesn’t give him the space he needs to just move. Yesterday I decided to call one of the local Indoor playgrounds to see if they had anything age appropriate for him and they did!
PlayTown Express is in the next town over and we loved it! It does seem to cater to older kids with lots of bouncy houses and blow up slides, but they also had ride on cars, HUGE balls for L to chase after, and a play area designated for kids under 3. It was perfect! He ran around like a maniac for about 45 minutes and then crashed hard. We will be back again for sure!
Valentine’s Day Gifts
My mom sent L a sweet little care package with the book “The Biggest Kiss,” which is just so cute! L is big into reading, or mostly flipping the pages, and the colors are nice and bright with a cute story. She also sent a card that sings a little song that makes him smile so big! For me, she sent a heart shaped box of chocolates which really is only good for the caramel. My family always fights over who gets to eat it!
Rose Gold Apple Watch
My husband surprised me with a Rose Gold Series 1 Apple Watch on Tuesday morning as a combo birthday and Valentine’s Day gift! He walked in the house after starting my car, handed me a big, long box and said “Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s a Spatty Daddy!” (Spatty Daddy’s are something we saw on Shark Tank years ago and still joke about needing all the time!) I looked at him shocked, I truly had NO idea he was even thinking of getting me one. Guess my Valentine’s Day Gift Guide worked 😉
I have been wearing it since Tuesday and I’m still lost on how it works and what it does. I love seeing my steps and activity and one of my friends and I are in a little competition to see who does more. It’s fun that you can send your activity back and forth! My only concern, because I use my hands for work and am constantly moving my wrist does it miscalculate my steps? Anyone have any idea?
Gel Mani Without a Light!
I spotted this Wet n’ Wild 1 Step Gel Wonder polish at CVS the other day for $4.99. I figured it was worth a shot and if it was horrible, oh well. Only a few bucks lost. A long lasting polish without the need for a curing light or 45 minutes at the nail salon sounded great to me! I painted my nails Wednesday night and so far they still look okay! Granted, I’m not the best at doing my own nails but I’d buy it again! They have lots of pretty colors and I saw a few pastels that will be perfect for spring!
What are your plans for the weekend ahead, anything good? Tomorrow I work for a few hours and then we’re just lounging around and getting outside if the forecast is as nice as they say!
