Hey there! How’s it going?! Did you have a great, relaxing weekend? I sure hope so!
Ours was pretty fantastic other then a cranky toddler. I think teething is part of it and maybe just a new phase we’re going through but EVERYTHING annoys L. If he doesn’t get what he wants oh my gosh, a full blown tantrum happens. But really, he just can’t have a burning hot pan off the stove top. Or a can of beer that he thinks is seltzer water. Nope. No can do!
So ya. We’re dealing with a lot of that over here. But when he’s happy he sure is happy! His favorite things right now are jumping, dancing (the cutest!!!), and hiding from us in the hallway. He then peeks out screaming in glee and laughing hysterically, then we do it all over again.
Saturday I worked for a bit and then we just hung out at home. It is cold again here in Boston with temps only reaching the low twenties! So we did a lot of playing and reading at home.
Sunday morning we did head out to our cousin’s house for a morning filled with family, playtime, and mimosas! My cousin has two boys ages 5 and 2.5 and L had a blast running around with them! Anywhere new he finds pretty exciting and their home was no exception.
They have so many toys, games, and space for him to explore. He was going non stop from room to room, showing off and playing with anything he could get his hands on. My dad also met us there so L got to play with his grampy which is always so great!
It was such a wonderful time getting together with them and something we need to do more often! I love seeing L interact with other kids and any chance to see my dad is always the best. By the time we were getting ready to leave L was so tired he could hardly stand up! Car nap for the win!
We headed home for some TV time (this weekend was a little tv heavy) and taking it easy. I didn’t actually even make it to the grocery store! So I’ll be stocking up tomorrow during my lunch break.
Also, in case you haven’t caught on, we ended up quitting Whole 30. I’ll be dedicating a whole post to it tomorrow but basically, I felt horrible. Friday I could not even get myself off the floor to play with L and had a horribly upset stomach and migraine. I tried to fuel with paleo friendly snacks and meals but I truly knew what my body needed (carbs) and instantly after having some soup and a sandwich I felt better. So, maybe we failed but I just don’t think Whole 30 is right for me. But, like I said, I’ll be dedicating a whole post to it this week!
I hope you have a great week! Happy Monday 🙂
