Hey hey! HAPPY FRIDAY!
Do you have today off for Good Friday? My husband does and we couldn’t be happier! He is golfing for a bit this morning while L and I go meet our best friends new little babe at the playground but then we have a great weekend planned! Or I guess not planned, since we are just taking it day by day until Easter!
I decided to do a little Life Lately post to catch up with everyone and give you a look into what’s going on over here. In one word life lately just feels busy. The fact this post is going up around 10 am and I just finished it this morning while L was playing is a great example.
So much to do and so little time. I often find myself rushing through the days and then falling hard into bed at night, wondering where my time went? It makes me sad that I am missing time with L because I am too busy trying to catch up with everything else like cleaning, cooking, and blogging but I know this is just a season of life right now. I truly do try to enjoy our time together when I am off from work, making sure to put my phone away to be just with him. What I’m Reading:
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarity. I just bought this book last week and I’d be lying if I said I was far into it. I am so tired by the time night rolls around that I get a few pages in and crash. But I’ve heard only good things and I have loved all of her other books! I’m trying to read as fast as I can so that I can watch the show on HBO!
What We’re Watching:
Prison Break! My husband and I just started the very first season of Prison Break and it’s way better then expected! We have I think 80 episodes to power through so this will probably take us a while.
What I’m Eating:
Food on the grill!! We got my husband a grill for his birthday and it has been wonderful to have! With the nicer weather coming around we both crave lighter food like grilled chicken, burgers (sorta healthy?), and all the veggies on the grill. It will be so nice this summer to sit outside once L is asleep and grill up some food and enjoy the warm weather!
What I’m Drinking:
White Claw Seltzer. Have you guys had these? I feel like spiked seltzers were all the rage last year with new brands popping up left and right. My husband grabbed a pack of these last night and they are so yummy! Light and refreshing, perfect for these warmer days we are having and beach days coming up! They go down a little too easy!
What I’m Looking Forward to:
Beach days!! <— too soon?? But really Easter with my dad, step mom, and her big Greek family! Easter falls on the same day as Greek Easter this year and my step mom happens to be Greek so we will be celebrating with them! It’s a big event and so much fun but the last few years we haven’t been able to stay long at holidays because of L. I think this year he will enjoy seeing the other kids and spending time outside. It’s supposed to be 80)!
What I’m Doing For Exercise:
My coworker gave me a copy of T25 so I’ve been doing that but the workouts include a lot of jumping which I’m sure my neighbors don’t appreciate at 5 am. Mostly I am sticking with my Lauren Gleisberg at home workouts 3-5 times per week, taking long stroller walks, and trying to get to the gym for cardio 2 days per week. Some weeks it all comes together flawlessly, others it barely happens at all. And that’s okay. I feel good and like I am doing my best!
