The weather this weekend was absolutely perfect… sunny, 80-90 degrees with minimal humidity! We decided to take advantage of it and head up to my hometown for a visit to the ocean and some time with family!
If you’ve never heard of Rockport, Ma it’s a real shame but not all that surprising. It’s a tiny little beach town about 45 minutes north of Boston. I spent my whole childhood there and never realized how lucky I was to have grown up in such a beautiful area. I could walk to the beach in less then 10 minutes! Since moving away I have definitely realized how much I took Rockport for granted and love that we are still able to go up and play tourist for a day, walking down Bearskin Neck, stopping for ice cream, and being near the ocean.
We left Saturday afternoon, getting up to Rockport just before dinner time. We decided to get out and enjoy the nice evening so we threw L in the stroller and walked a few blocks to the downtown area. While out on our walk L got to eat some ice cream, which I forgot to take a picture of but shared on my Instagram story! My dad and step mom had a blast entertaining him and he soaked up every bit of attention he could! Post ice cream sugar high set in and he stayed up wayyyy later then he should’ve but hey, that’s what summer and grandparents are for, right!?
We left for home early Sunday morning and spent the rest of the day house hunting! We’re not in a major rush to buy but the market is good for selling. It’s exciting and overwhelming thinking about our next move!
